Intro to Thai Yoga Bodywork
Based on the northern style of Traditional Style of Thai Massage ( Nuad Boran ) Thai Yoga Bodywork is an ancient form of work from Thailand stemming back over 2500 years to the time of Buddha.
In this class, we will pair up with a partner to ground, stretch, twist, breathe and take care of one another while we learn a basic sequence and alternate giving and receiving. Take home a manual and duplicate the practice at home. 2.5 hrs continuing education available from Yoga Alliance.
In this class you will explore:
*The history and benefits of Thai Bodywork
*Basic relaxation techniques for the end of a session
*How to give a basic one hour session designed to share with friends and family, not to give as a practitioner. *No experience necessary and this class is open to all levels.
Five participants needed to run the course. Cancellation policy of 48 hours required.
This class is led by Margaret Harstad, owner of Muggymoose Massage and Thai Bodywork in Duluth, which she has run for 18 years! Margaret is certified with the Thai Healing Alliance as a Registered Thai Therapist. Margaret also has certifications as a Licensed Masage Therapist, a Principle Based Partner Yoga Teacher, an Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor and Therapist, a Chi Nei Tsang Therapist and also holds certifications as an E-RYT-200 and a YACEP. Margaret values the integrity of certification and training andenjoys her work with clients individually and in classes, educating them in keeping their bodies beautiful inside and out, so they may move with grace in this life and beyond. Continuing education credits available from YA or NCBTMB upon request.
