Amy Zellmer

Amy Zellmer — Publisher + Editor-in-chief

Amy Zellmer (she/her) is Editor-in-chief of Midwest Yoga Magazine and author of The Chair Yoga Pocket Guide. Amy has a passion to spread the message that yoga is for every BODY, regardless of size or ability, and a mission to raise awareness about the devastating consequences of TBI.  She has her 200RYT and is certified in trauma-informed yoga, chair yoga, LoveYourBrain yoga, and body-positive Yoga For All. In her free time, Amy enjoys road-tripping across the country visiting National Parks.

Kristen Brown

Kristen Brown — Editorial Assistant

Kristen Brown (she/her) is a bestselling author, keynote speaker, and energy medicine practitioner who charges up her clients by syncing up their body/mind/spirit for work and life growth.

Ian Hebeisen

Ian Hebeisen — Content Editor

Ian Hebeisen (he/him) is a writer based in the Twin Cities. Graduating in 2020 with a degree in Literature with a Writing Emphasis, Ian spends his time writing for The Brain Health Magazine and JUVEN Press. He also writes comics, zines, short stories, and poetry. He lives with his partner and two cats and enjoys playing board games and reading.

Lynn Garthwaite

Lynn Garthwaite — Copy Editor

Lynn Garthwaite (she/her) is the author of ten books, including the Dirkle Smat Adventure book series, written especially for first and second-grade reading levels. She has also written three picture books for clients, including Radio Flyer and Shutterfly, and historic non-fiction for all ages titled Our States Have Crazy Shapes: Panhandles, Bootheels, Knobs, and Points. Just released in 2020 is the mystery/thriller novel Starless Midnight and an updated nursery rhyme book titled Childhood Rhymes for Modern Times. She is also a copyeditor for two magazines and a publisher.

Tamara Deminov — Creative Director

Tamara is a creative with a passion for a lifestyle that promotes wellness. She blends over 25 years of experience in graphic design, branding, and marketing with a lifelong interest in holistic health. In addition to her creative career, she is a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner and Food Matters Nutrition Coach. Tamara has also been a dedicated student of yoga since completing her Yoga Teacher Training (RYT-200) over a decade ago. Whether she’s helping companies build their brands or coaching clients toward better health, she brings intention, insight, and integrity to everything she does.
