Winter Solstice Yoga in the Dark at Yoga Sanctuary in Minneapolis MN Let’s face it… Winter in Minnesota is long and hard. And as we approach the winter solstice, days are at their darkest.
During this workshop, you will have opportunities to tune into your inner light to guide you through dark seasons. You have an inner guide, a light that can provide a path, a peace. Perhaps you have felt this in your journey? When we start to attune our inner vision, our path through darkness may become more illuminated, helping us see things in a new light.
Our slow-moving practice will be dimly lit by candlelight to encourage a grounded self-connectedness while we explore visualization, pranayama (breathing), asana (poses), gentle movements, and a guided Trātaka candle-gazing meditation.
You will also be invited to practice yoga asana while blindfolded (always with the option to remove or decline), deepening your relationship with your inner guiding light.
