After recently spending four nights in their newly remodeled two-bedroom accommodation, complete with a covered deck boasting a breathtaking view of the water and the mesmerizing sunset, I can attest to the resort’s commitment to providing a truly immersive and memorable experience.
Notably, Alhonna Resort holds a special place in popular culture as the inspiration for the setting of Netflix’s hit show, Ozark. They proudly acquired the neon “Blue Cat Lodge” sign from the set, which greets you as you enter the property. Additionally, their lounge caters to the fans with drinks named after some of the clever lines from the show. Of course, I had to try a virgin Pina Colada served in a tall leg cup covered with fishnet stockings – and the “Lickety Splitz” logo.

My four-night stay at Alhonna Resort was marked by the comfort and luxury of their recently renovated two-bedroom room. The paramount attention to detail and guest satisfaction were evident from the moment I stepped into the space. The covered deck proved to be a haven, offering an unobstructed view of the lake and the picturesque sunset, creating the perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection.
The resort’s extensive range of recreational activities catered to both the adventurous and those seeking a more laid-back experience. A few of the exciting activities filling my days included fishing in the abundant waters, exploring the lake via boat, and enjoying the well-maintained pool. The resort’s commitment to guest satisfaction shone through in the variety of options available to make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
Alhonna Resort not only stands as a serene retreat but also serves as a gateway to the myriad attractions of the Lake of the Ozarks region. Whether exploring Bridal Cave, hiking in Ha Ha Tonka State Park, or enjoying the thrills at Big Surf Waterpark, the resort’s strategic location ensured every day brought new adventures.
