Card 1 – Spiritually – 9 of Swords
This card represents the information we need to keep harmony in our spiritual lives. The 9 of Swords is often referred to as “the 3am card”. It represents all the worries and troubles in our mind and in our hearts, waking us in the night and keeping us tossing and turning. In the Spirituality position this card invites us to evaluate the external influences in our lives causing disharmony in our spiritual life. How do we react to what’s going on around us? It can also be an invitation to dive deeper into the practices that bring peace to our heart, mind, and soul so as to keep us connected to something bigger than ourselves, rooted in the present moment, and reminded of the well of peace existing within so we may navigate our days with more harmony.
Card 2 – Mentally – 3 of Wands (reversed)
This card represents the things showing up mentally for us. Traditionally a card of success, communication, and good news, the 3 of Wands in its reversed position shows a bit of turmoil and lack of self-expression. Not to be discouraged, this is only a temporary influence. This card invites us to find ways to express ourselves and the things on our mind. Do you have a journaling practice? Or perhaps need a night with friends and a good chat? What’s on the inside of our minds needs to come out to return harmony to our being. Find a healthy and healing way to let the ideas flow.
Card 3 – Physically – Ace of Swords (reversed)
This card represents our physical well-being. Aces generally represent new beginnings. However, in the reversed position this could signal a false start or a needed redirection. The Ace of Swords specifically can show us a perception of lack, but it’s just that – a perception and not reality. This card invites you to slow down and check in with your body and honor where you are now. My favorite thing to say to my body is “I love you, I’m listening,” and see what it replies.
Card 4 – Emotionally – The Moon
The position of this card represents where our emotional well-being is at the moment. The Moon is a card of illusions, things lurking in the night, and disappointment. The Moon in the emotional position of this reading indicates a need to reconnect with your intuition, hidden messages, and the guidance all around you so you may navigate the waters of your emotions. This can also be an indication of a need for change. Are your emotions taking you on a ride or can you see the wisdom within them? Trust your intuition, find the calm in the storm, and you will see your way out.
Card 5 – Financially – Lovers (reversed)
Our finances play a large role in our lives, and when discussing overall balance and harmony in our lives it is important to address. This card represents the financial aspect of our lives. The Lovers in the reversed position invites us to take a closer look at our relationship with money, finances, and abundance overall. Some questions to inquire could include: Where are you disillusioned about the role of money in your life? What stories have you told yourself about money? What areas of your life need healing around money? This is a bigger topic to be explored all on its own, so take some time with your answers and really look at where your relationship with money can be mended in order to bring more harmony into your life.
May this reading be a helpful guide in connecting more with harmony this season. I encourage you to interpret these cards in a way that will be most helpful for your path.
